Privacy policy
Last updated: 30 June 2026. This policy explains how personal data collected through destarastudio.com, the contact form and the newsletter is processed.
1. Data controller
The data controller is Carol Cadenas, operating under the Destara Creative Studio brand to provide freelance social media management, graphic design, visual content, video, motion graphics and digital marketing services.
For any privacy-related question, contact Destara at [email protected].
2. Data we may process
When you use the contact form, we may process your name, email address, project type, message and any information you provide voluntarily.
When you subscribe to The Destara Creative Guide, we process your email address, your name if provided, consent date and time, subscription source, accepted consent text and the technical information needed to manage the subscription.
The hosting provider and essential technical services may process data such as IP address, browser, device, access date and time, or security logs.
3. Purposes and legal bases
We use your data to answer enquiries, prepare proposals and manage service requests on the basis of pre-contractual measures requested by you and, where applicable, our legitimate interest in handling professional communications.
We send the newsletter and commercial communications about Destara services only with your explicit consent.
If you hire Destara, contractual, invoicing, accounting and administrative data is processed to perform the contract and comply with legal obligations.
Technical data may be processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the website secure and available.
4. Newsletter and commercial communications
Newsletter subscription is voluntary and contacts are not added without prior, verifiable consent.
You can unsubscribe through the link in every email or by writing to [email protected]. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before the withdrawal.
5. Recipients and processors
Destara does not sell personal data.
Providers needed to operate the website and communications may access data, including Cloudflare for hosting, Formspree for the contact form and Kit for the newsletter. They act as processors where applicable.
Data may also be disclosed to public authorities or professional advisers when required by law or to address claims.
6. International transfers
Some technology providers may be located outside the European Economic Area or use international infrastructure.
Where international transfers occur, providers must offer safeguards recognised under the GDPR, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
7. Retention periods
Enquiries are retained only as long as necessary to respond and reasonably follow up. Newsletter data is retained while your subscription remains active or until you withdraw consent.
Contract, invoice, accounting and claim-related data is retained for the applicable statutory periods. Security logs are retained only as long as necessary to protect the website and resolve incidents.
8. Your rights
You may request access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability, and you may withdraw consent whenever processing is based on consent.
To exercise these rights, write to [email protected]. You may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency at www.aepd.es.
9. Automated decisions
Destara does not make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you.
10. Children
The website and Destara services are intended for professionals, brands and businesses, not children. Data from children processed without a valid legal basis will be deleted when detected.
11. Third-party services
The website may link to or integrate third-party services such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Behance, forms, hosting or newsletter tools. Those providers process data under their own policies.
The Destara Creative Guide subscription is managed through Kit, which processes the data required to register subscriptions, deliver newsletters and manage unsubscribes.
12. Changes to this policy
Destara may update this policy to reflect legal, technical or service changes. The version published on this page is the current version.
